Streaming is great, and depending on your internet connection, the media you consume can be highly compressed, contain transmission errors, and is often nowhere near the quality advertised by the companies who sell you monthly access to their libraries.

Compared to CDs, streamed music is often flat and lifeless—and let’s not even talk about the gorgeous audio of vinyl albums! There’s absolutely no comparison! Blu-Rays are often superior to 4K streams when it comes to bit rate, color depth, frame rates and audio quality.

Physical books are superior as well, reducing eye strain and improving our ability to retain the information we read, even over dedicated e-readers.

Also, when you buy physical media, you own it, and you can do whatever you want with it. Loan it to a friend, resell it if you need some fast cash, or gift it to a loved one. It belongs to you! And let’s not forget…
