The “Hocus Pocus” series refers to Disney’s Hocus Pocus franchise, which includes the 1993 film, its 2022 sequel Hocus Pocus 2, and merchandise based on the adventures of the Sanderson Sisters. While a prequel series is not currently happening, the original director expressed interest in a spinoff about the sisters as young girls. A third film is also in development.
The Films
Hocus Pocus (1993): The original film, created by David Kirschner and Mick Garris, follows a group of children who accidentally revive the Sanderson Sisters in modern-day Salem, Massachusetts, and must stop them from becoming immortal.
Hocus Pocus 2 (2022): Directed by Anne Fletcher, the sequel sees the Sanderson Sisters return to seek revenge and become powerful.
Hocus Pocus 3 (In Development): A third film in the series is currently in development, though specific details are scarce.
